Professor Ang Tiing Leong is a Senior Consultant Gastroenterologist at the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Changi General Hospital, part of the SingHealth group. His clinical expertise lies in advanced therapeutic endoscopy, with a particular focus on therapeutic ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography) and interventional EUS (Endoscopic Ultrasound).
Prof Ang is also a Clinical Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School and serves as an adjunct professor at both the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine (NUS) and the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (NTU). He plays a key leadership role in the medical community, currently serving as the Chairperson of the Residency Advisory Committee (Gastroenterology) in Singapore.
His professional contributions extend to leadership positions in various medical organizations, having served as the Past President of the Gastroenterological Society of Singapore and as the Past Chairperson of the Chapter of Gastroenterology, Academy of Medicine, Singapore. Prof Ang is widely recognized for his commitment to advancing the field of gastroenterology and training future generations of specialists.

Professor Silvia Sanduleanu-Dascalescu finished her medicine degree from the Grigore T. Popa University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Romania and further took her PhD degree from Maastricht University.
Professor Dascalescu is a clinical scientist and academic educator with international experience in the prevention, endoscopic diagnosis and resection of early cancer. Her current research interests are on the development and implementation of 21st century educational methods to optimize the outcomes of endoscopy education. She is the clinical lead of the hereditary CRC screening program in South Limburg, Netherlands, with special attention to cancer prevention in patients with Lynch syndrome and polyposis syndromes.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Viet Hang is a distinguished gastroenterologist and hepatologist in Vietnam, serving as Director of the Endoscopy Center at Hanoi Medical University Hospital. She holds an MD and PhD from Hanoi Medical University, where she is also a lecturer in Internal Medicine.
With expertise in gastrointestinal endoscopy, liver cancer, and AI applications, Dr. Hang has made significant contributions to clinical research and medical education. She has trained in high-resolution esophageal manometry, ultrasound elastography, and advanced endoscopy in Japan, India, Korea, and the USA.
Dr. Hang has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications on hepatocellular carcinoma, colorectal cancer, and AI in endoscopy. She holds leadership roles as Vice General Secretary of the Vietnam Association of Gastroenterology and President of the Global Vietnamese Young Scholars Association. Her excellence has earned her prestigious awards, including the Vietnam Young Doctor Representative Award and Gold Globe Award for Scientific Research.
Beyond clinical and research work, she is an Editorial Board member for the Asia Pacific Journal of Environment and Cancer, Social Media Ambassador for the Journal of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, and a committee member of the World Gastroenterology Organization.

Dr. Daniel Q. Huang graduated from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS). Presently, Dr. Huang is an Assistant Professor at the National University of Singapore and a transplant hepatologist at the National University Hospital. He leads hepatocellular carcinoma research in the Division of Gastroenterology.
Dr. Huang has published more than 100 peer-reviewed articles, with first or corresponding author publications in journals, on areas of interest primarily in hepatocellular carcinoma in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and viral hepatitis. He is actively working on non-invasive strategies to detect and risk stratify chronic liver disease and hepatocellular carcinoma by leveraging advanced imaging-, genomic-, RNA-, meta-analytic-, and microbiome-based approaches. He currently serves on the editorial board of Alimentary Pharmacology and Therapeutics.

Prof. Ishida is an expert in the field of advanced luminal endoscopy and has done thousands of endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) cases. He did his fellowship training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Takatsuki Hospital in Osaka, Japan. He then completed his doctorate degree at Tokyo Medical University in Tokyo. He is a board-certified specialist in the fields of gastroenterology, hepatology and capsule endoscopy. Professor Ishida is also a board-certified trainer by the Japan Gastroenterological Endoscopy Society. He has also authored and co-authored numerous research papers regarding endoscopic submucosal dissection which was published in several international journals. He previously worked as an assistant professor at the Division of Gastroenterology at Kobe University Hospital in Kobe. Professor Ishida is currently the Director of the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the Akashi Medical Center in Akashi, Japan.

Prof. Khor is a renowned specialist in advanced therapeutic endoscopy. He obtained his medical degree from the National University of Singapore. He completed his advanced clinical fellowship in ERCP at the Medical University of South Carolina and advanced clinical fellowship in EUS at the Indiana University Medical Center. More recently, Dr. Khor trained in endoscopic submucosal dissection in Japan. He has published more than 40 peer-reviewed papers, mostly on ERCP and EUS. Aside from authoring research papers, Dr. Khor is also a reviewer for several endoscopy and gastroenterology journals. He serves as an editorial board member for Endoscopic Ultrasound journal. He also has several academic appointments at Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School and Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. He currently co-chairs an Asia-Pacific group focused on EUS education. Dr. Khor is also active in promoting regional and international cooperation among gastroenterologists. From 2010-2012, Dr. Khor served as the President of the Gastroenterological Society of Singapore. He served as Vice-President of Asian-Pacific Digestive Week 2011 in Singapore, for which he directed Endoscopy programming and is the immediate past Chairman of the Chapter of Gastroenterologists, Academy of Medicine Singapore. Dr. Khor is currently a senior consultant at the Singapore General Hospital while continuing his teaching and research works.

Professor Geoffrey Metz is an acclaimed educator and gastroenterologist hailing from Australia. He started his medical career in Melbourne where he trained in general medicine. He then completed his training in gastroenterology at Central Middlesex Hospital in London. His profound interest in education led him to holding positions at Alfred Hospital and Epworth Hospital. At The Alfred, he led a medical unit and also contributed to teaching medical students and doctors in training. He later served on the Hospital Board of Management. Professor Metz also chaired the Continuing Education and Continuing Professional Development committees at the Royal Australasian College of Physicians for several years before becoming the President of the College. In recognition of his contributions to medicine and education, Professor Metz was awarded the Order of Australia in 2001. In 2021, he received the Officer of the Order of Australia for his services to medicine. His educational endeavors were not only limited to Australia but internationally as well. Professor Metz has been deeply involved in the development of medical education worldwide through the World Gastroenterology Organisation (WGO) for the past two decades, for which he currently serves as President.

Born in Venice in 1946, Claudio Tiribelli, MD, PhD, graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Padua and completed his specialization in Gastroenterology at the University of Trieste. After acquiring valuable international experience, he returned to Trieste, where he held the position of Professor of Gastroenterology at the University of Trieste from 1989 to 2016.
Dr. Tiribelli is the founder and current Scientific Director of the Italian Liver Foundation (FIF – Fondazione Italiana Fegato), a research organization dedicated to advancing knowledge of liver diseases and related pathologies. Based at AREA Science Park in Trieste, the Foundation collaborates with universities and scientific institutions across more than 20 countries.

Dr. Zobair M. Younossi, MD, MPH, FACP, FACG, AGAF, FAASLD, is a well-accomplished hepatologist with a globally distinguished career in clinical care, research and education. He has been a Professor and currently sits as the Chairman of the Department of Medicine at the Inova Fairfax Hospital in Virginia, USA. He also holds other leadership and teaching roles, including as a Vice Chairman of the Board and Senior Medical Executive of Inova Health System Foundation as well as an affiliate professor of Biomedical Sciences at George Mason University.
After earning his medical degree with an Alpha Omega Alpha award from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in New York in 1989, Dr. Younossi finished his residency in internal medicine at Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation in La Jolla, California, with a fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology in the same institution while earning his Master of Public Health degree with multiple honors from San Diego State University School of Public Health in California.
He initially served as a staff hepatologist and senior researcher at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio, before establishing the Canter for Liver Diseases at Inova Fairfax Hospital, which is world-renowned for its research outcomes in liver disease as well as pioneering research in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). Dr. Younossi remains as the chairman of the Global NASH consortium and NASH Committee of the Chronic Liver Disease Foundation (CLDF). He also serves as a co-chairman for the International Coalition of Hepatology Practices (IC-HEP) and a board member of the American College of Gastroenterology Institute.
Dr. Younossi’s prolific work in research and publication has been internationally well noted. He has authored more than 500 peer-reviewed articles as well as book chapters and journal supplements. He has also served as the co-editor of Liver International, and has been on the editorial board of several important medical journals including the World Journal of Hepatology and Gastroenterology as well as Annals of Hepatology. Given his illustrious career and global expertise in the field of hepatology, Dr. Younossi has been a well-invited speaker delivering state of the art and informative lectures in different congress meetings across the world.

Dr. Rosario Angeles Tan-Alora is considered one the pillars in the fields of infectious disease and bioethics. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine and Surgery where she also received further training in internal medicine and infectious diseases. She also served as the Department Chair and Dean of her alma mater.
Dr. Tan-Alora is one of the well-recognized physicians having been a recipient of various awards including Distinguished Internist and Teacher, as well as the coveted Dr Gonzalo Austria Memorial Award, given by the Philippine College of Physicians. She is also a recipient of the Outstanding Infectious Disease Physician award given by the Philippine Society of Microbiology and Infectious Diseases, where she also served as one of its Past Presidents. Recently, Dr. Tan-Alora was conferred the Dona Victoria Ty Tan Professorial Chair.
Currently, Dr. Tan-Alora holds chairmanship and advisory board positions in various bioethics committees and specialty organizations; and is one of the most sought-after speakers in several local and international conventions.
